The role available is Friday to Monday, 3pm-11:30pm.
32 hours per week based in Waikanae.
We are seeking a Youth Worker with expertise in supporting individuals with
complex needs or mental health backgrounds.
Join our OTIS youth team in
Waikanae, where you will provide assistance to one or two taiohi (young person).
Responsibilities
may include:
Working closely with clinical service staff in designing personalised support plans.Working with people’s strengths, holding hope and encouraging people to recognise their ability to overcome adversity.You will work with people planning a suite of activities and programmes individually designed to help them meet goals.About You | Mōu:
We’re looking for a passionate, energised youth worker to join our growing
service.
You will have:
Hold a Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent or be studying towards a recognised equivalent.A full driver’s licence.A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.Knowledge and understanding of Te Ao Māori, including Te Reo Māori and Tikanga, or be open to learning about it.
Previous experience in youth work, social work, mental health and addiction preferred.Closing Date | Rā Katinga: 14 November 2025.
