Urgent! Youth Worker Job Opening In Hamilton – Now Hiring Wise Group



Job description

  • Permanent full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

  • 5 weeks of annual leave + 2 wellbeing days annually

  • Earn up to $29.83 per hour + other great benefits

    This role is permanent, full-time working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm


    Te Whare o Te Hononga is looking for a trauma-informed kaitaiohi that has the mana, empathy and resilience to help grow and nurture our mokopuna toward positive change.


    Apply your skills, creative ideas, and expertise to work collaboratively with team members and other agencies to get the best outcomes for our taiohi and whānau.

    Supporting taiohi transitioning to independent living, you’ll help to develop life skills and resilience and provide support with practical problem solving.

    You | Mōu

    In this role you will need:

  • The Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent or be studying towards a recognised equivalent

  • Experience working with young people and an understanding of trauma-informed care

  • Both de-escalation skills and relationship building skills

  • A current full New Zealand driver’s licence

  • A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one

  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Māori and Pasifika are strongly encouraged to apply for this role.
