About the roleYear 4 Coordinator - FMHS - part-time (12 hrs per week) at the University of Auckland.
This is a part-time, academic permanent position (0.3 FTE / 12 hours per week).
The opportunityThe MBChB programme's Medical Programme Directorate (MPD) seeks an experienced academic to oversee Year 4 attachments, provide pastoral and academic support for students, and contribute to curriculum development and assessment activities.
The role involves coordinating Year 4 teaching, learning, and assessment; providing orientation, monitoring, and support for students; liaising with the Phase 2 Director, other Year Coordinators, academic staff, and student support services; and assisting in producing the Year 4 timetable.ResponsibilitiesOversee Year 4 attachments, teaching, learning, and assessment.Provide orientation, monitoring, and support for students, including those requiring academic or pastoral intervention.Liaise with the Phase 2 Director, other Year Coordinators, academic staff, and student support services to ensure smooth delivery of Year 4.Assist in producing the Year 4 timetable.Contribute to curriculum review, development, and programme enhancement.QualificationsEssential:Bachelor's degree in Medicine.Experience providing pastoral support to students.Strong communication skills, a collaborative working style, and the ability to manage competing priorities.Preferred:Higher degree qualification.At least five years' experience in a tertiary institution involved in health professional education.Experience within the MBChB programme at the University of Auckland.What we offerFlexible employment practices (including the option to work from home by arrangement).
