About the role

We’re looking for two highly organised and relationship-focused Work Placement Coordinators to join our team supporting student placements and work-integrated learning experiences.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with academic and professional staff to coordinate and oversee student placement activities across programmes.

You'll be responsible for building and maintaining connections with employers and industry partners, supporting students through the placement allocation process, and being an effective user of our placement management system, MyWIL.

This position also plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations and administration of our work-integrated learning programmes.

Salary will be in the range of $71,275 - $84,695 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our campus in Hamilton.

Who are you?

You are an organised and proactive professional with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to supporting students and industry partners.

You’ll hold a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, and bring high levels of computer literacy, attention to detail, and well-developed organisational skills.

Experience or interest in engineering, computer science or science will be an advantage, along with knowledge of the tertiary sector.

You’re confident working both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism.

Ideally, you’ll have experience coordinating student placements or working with placement systems.

A full driver’s licence is required, and your ability to engage effectively with diverse students and stakeholders aligns with the University’s values and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
