Overview

As our network continues to grow, we are now looking for an experienced Water Treatment Operator to join our dedicated team.

In this critical role, you will monitor the districtiltration and supply, ensuring the water quality remains within required parameters to provide Selwyn with premium drinking water.

The role includes scheduled and reactive maintenance of water treatment plants and pump sheds, performance checks for treatment systems, and responding to call outs.

No two days will be the same.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the districtiltration and water supply to maintain required parameters
  • Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance of water treatment plants and pump sheds
  • Conduct performance checks for treatment systems
  • Respond to call outs as required

Qualifications

  • National Certificate in Water Treatment – Level 4 (preferred)
  • Class 1 Driver Licence (essential)
  • Experience in civil / trade work (preferred)
  • Physically fit and self-motivated
  • Health and Safety conscious with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster, which includes nights, weekends, public holidays
