Vintage Cellar Hands, Leading hands, Supervisors and Lab TechniciansVinLink Marlborough, one of Marlborough's modern and efficient wineries, is located in the Riverlands, just a 10-minute drive from Blenheim's CBD.
VinLink has been specifically built and designed for Marlborough's signature grape variety Sauvignon Blanc and crushes around 25,000 tonnes each year.We are looking for cellar and laboratory applicants with a range of experience, who have a strong safety focus, a reasonable level of physical fitness, and are available to work from late-February / early-March until the end of the grape intake (typically 6 to 8 weeks).
The possibility to work beyond vintage will be available for the right applicant(s) to help us in post-production.We have a great training program in place, competitive pay rates, and other attractive incentives, so if this sounds like the place for you, keep reading to see what roles we have available for vintage 2026.Vintage Area Supervisors and Leading Cellar HandsAbout the role:At least three vintage experiences (or two in a large-scale winery) or 1 vintage experience in a large Sauvignon Blanc Batch processing facility.Experience operating equipment in at least one of the following areas: grape receival, flotation, RDV/filtration, fermentation management and Laboratory.Vintage experience in a large Sauvignon Blanc Batch processing facility, would be desirable.You will have solid leadership and training skills and the ability to communicate effectively.Previous experience in a vintage supervisory role would be an advantage.Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.Able to work 12-hour days 6 days a week.Will require a minimum of 30 hours a week increasing to 74 hours during our peak harvest time.Availability to work either on day or night shift during our 3-4 weeks of 24-hour operation.About the roles:You will have great verbal communication and a practical roll-up your sleeves attitude.Enjoy working independently and as part of a close team with an international crew.Experience working a vintage in either the cellar or Laboratory would be an advantage, but not essential.Work and communicate well within a team, and able to learn and operate winery machinery in one of the following areas:Grape receival and processingContinuous and batch flotationRDV filtration of juice leesGeneral cellar work including additions, transfers, and cleaning.Winery Laboratory or similar: Able to follow standard Laboratory processes for testing and analysis of grape juice, ferments, and finished wine.Able to work 12-hour days 6 days a week.Will require a minimum of 30 hours a week increasing to 72 during our peak harvest time.Availability to work either on day or night shift during our 3-4 weeks of 24-hour operation.Excellent communication skills and a great sense of humour is a must!
