Job Category: Logistics, Supply & TransportVan Driver/StorepersonDunedinPermanent, Part-time (15 hours per week)Monday, Wednesday and Friday shiftsIn this role you will:Collect all donated goods and deliver them to shops, adhering to the guidelines on quality.Assist with maintenance of stock levels this includes liaising with the Shop Manager or Delivery Scheduler, for the timely delivery of stock.Complete electrical test and tagging on electrical donated goods (training provided)Check and maintain the vehicle you are driving to ensure compliance and road worthiness.Keep New Zealand Red Cross informed of any issues promptly.Follow New Zealand Red Cross health safety and wellbeing guidelines.Assist with work in the shops as required.To be successful you will have:A full, clean New Zealand driver's license - Class 2 is preferredExperience working with volunteers.Driving experience in a similar or relatable roleAn understanding of safe handling, storage of goods and be physically fitExcellent communication and customer service skills.The ability to mix and work with a wide range of people.Self-motivation and a positive, friendly approach.About New Zealand Red CrossNew Zealand Red Cross is part of the world's largest humanitarian network, with over 10,000 members and employees dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable people by mobilising the power of humanity and increasing community resilience.Guided by our Fundamental Principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality, we support people in times of need and help strengthen their resilience.We are committed to having an accessible, diverse, inclusive, and barrier-free work environment where everyone can reach their full potential.Why work with us?
