Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
This is a part-time job share opportunity through to October 2026, stepping in to cover parental leave and working alongside another talented writer.

Ideally, you'd be on deck Mon/Tue/Wed (24 hours per week), but we're open to alternatives.


As the UX Writer, you will deliver great user experiences to our digital channels, providing writing expertise to support updates to our content and help optimise our marketing campaigns to be more customer centric.
Day to day, this is a varied role including:
* Collaborating with the rest of the UX team to build and improve online tools by finding the most intuitive content flows and perfecting microcopy
* Utilising online research tools to observe NZ Post customer web interactions, and using these insights to advocate for content and information architecture improvements
* Working alongside our Marketing and Communications and Content Production teams to ensure all online messaging is clear, engaging and relevant
You'll drive a vision for product content, ensuring tactical execution to drive cohesive product narratives across all digital touchpoints within the product.

Key to your success in this role is your deep curiosity about how our customers behave, talent for writing clear, customer-focussed digital copy and proven experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods and usability studies (online and in-person).
Your analytical skills and interest in behavioural analysis and statistical concepts will allow you to perform research, while your strong communication and interpersonal skills will allow you to relay complex information in a simple, clear, and concise manner and collaborate with cross-functional teams around the business.
You will also be involved in regular presentations of visually and verbally engaging content, so you'll possess a proficiency in online user testing tools, and software that aids in the delivery of high-quality presentations
