We are looking for a results-driven Unit Manager to lead a high-performing team of analysts and policy professionals.

This is a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role where you will directly contribute to improving economic, fiscal, and public service performance across Aotearoa.


As a Unit Manager, you will:


  • Lead and develop a team of Graduate Analysts, Analysts, and Senior Analysts to deliver cohesive, evidence-based advice that informs critical government decisions (approximately 8- direct reports).
  • Drive quality assurance processes to ensure advice is robust, timely, and impactful.
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with Ministers, senior public sector leaders, and external experts to shape and implement effective policy solutions.
  • Champion cross-Treasury collaboration, aligning your team's work with the organisation's strategic priorities to maximise impact.

  • Climate, Energy & Resources ( months fixed term at which point the current incumbent will return to their position)
  • Economic & External Strategy
  • Analytics, Insights & Modelling
  • Social Sector, Communities & Learning
