About the Role

As the Unit charge MIT - Interventional/Cath Lab, you will
lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Interventional/Cath Lab MIT team,
ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality imaging services.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of
radiologists, cardiologists, technologists, nursing and administrative staff in
a supportive and collaborative environment.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 80 hours per
fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Sunday, with rotating and rostered shifts across
Monday to Sunday.
On-Call is required.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will join a close-knit,
supportive healthcare community in the stunning Nelson region.
* Nelson
Radiology is a key part of healthcare services at Nelson Hospital,
offering a comprehensive range of imaging to support clinical care for the
local community.
Our team works collaboratively to deliver a timely,
accurate and patient focused imaging services, including X-ray, CT, Interventional,
MRI and ultrasound, dedicating a gold standard service to a diverse
patient population.
* You
will be doing a range of examinations: * Performing
a range of interventional procedures including angiography, EVAR, PCI and pacemakers * Utilising
imaging tools such as IVUS and OCT * Working
across 1 angiography lab and 1 Cath lab * Operating
Siemens Artis Zee system, and overseeing the installation of a new Siemens
Cath Lab * Participating
in on call roster to support a 24/7 STEMI and interventional radiology serviceFor more information on living and working in Nelson click here
About you
As the Unit charge MIT Interventional, you will:
* Provide
clinical leadership and operational management for the Interventional
suite and Cardiac Cath Lab, ensuring effective daily operations, * Supervise,
mentor, and support the professional development of the team members, * Coordinate
staff schedules to ensure optimal service delivery, * Work
collaboratively with other departments to support seamless patient care, * Maintain
highest standards of patient care, ensuring all imaging procedures are
performed with accuracy and professionalism, * Manage
and maintain the imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and
performance standards, * Participate
in quality improvement initiatives and audits to enhance service delivery,We are
looking for someone who has these skills and experience:
* Is
registered with the NZMRT Board and hold a current APC, * Has
a minimum of 3 years of experience as a MIT, including leadership and
supervisory experience, * Has
extensive knowledge and technical expertise in Interventional and Cath Lab
procedures/imaging., * Has
excellent organisational and time-management skills, * Has
commitment to high standards of patient care.The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New
Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
