As the Unit charge MIT - Interventional/Cath Lab, you willlead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Interventional/Cath Lab MIT team,ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality imaging services.You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team ofradiologists, cardiologists, technologists, nursing and administrative staff ina supportive and collaborative environment.This is a permanent, full-time role working 80 hours perfortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Sunday, with rotating and rostered shifts acrossMonday to Sunday.
On-Call is required.About the Team/Service/ LocationYou will join a close-knit,supportive healthcare community in the stunning Nelson region.NelsonRadiology is a key part of healthcare services at Nelson Hospital,offering a comprehensive range of imaging to support clinical care for thelocal community.
Our team works collaboratively to deliver a timely,accurate and patient focused imaging services, including X-ray, CT, Interventional,MRI and ultrasound, dedicating a gold standard service to a diversepatient population.Youwill be doing a range of examinations:Performinga range of interventional procedures including angiography, EVAR, PCI and pacemakersUtilisingimaging tools such as IVUS and OCTWorkingacross 1 angiography lab and 1 Cath labOperatingSiemens Artis Zee system, and overseeing the installation of a new SiemensCath LabParticipatingin on call roster to support a 24/7 STEMI and interventional radiology serviceFor more information on living and working in Nelson click hereAbout youAs the Unit charge MIT Interventional, you will:Provideclinical leadership and operational management for the Interventionalsuite and Cardiac Cath Lab, ensuring effective daily operations,Supervise,mentor, and support the professional development of the team members,Workcollaboratively with other departments to support seamless patient care,Maintainhighest standards of patient care, ensuring all imaging procedures areperformed with accuracy and professionalism,Manageand maintain the imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with safety andperformance standards,Participatein quality improvement initiatives and audits to enhance service delivery,We arelooking for someone who has these skills and experience:Isregistered with the NZMRT Board and hold a current APC,Hasa minimum of 3 years of experience as a MIT, including leadership andsupervisory experience,Hasextensive knowledge and technical expertise in Interventional and Cath Labprocedures/imaging.
