Fantastic opportunity to join an experienced UX Designer on a major digital transformation shaping everything about how customers see, feel, and interact with this brand.
We're looking for a UI Designer who combines strong craft with creativity and usability - turning strategy and wireframes into beautiful, accessible, developer-ready UI.
The Gig
Start: Mid-November **** (4.5-month contract flexibility based on project progress)
Location: Auckland CBD + hybrid (3 days in the office)
Context: Work alongside a Senior UX/Product Designer, leading discovery and journey mapping.
You'll focus on UI execution defining how everything looks, feels, and works for customers.
Holiday shutdown: Office closes Fri 19 Dec and reopens Wed 7 Jan
What you'll do
Transform UX journeys & wireframes into polished, developer-ready UI prototypes.
Apply and evolve an established Design System across responsive web, mobile, and app platforms.
Create detailed design specs and assets for smooth developer handoff.
Ensure WCAG 2.1 accessibility, usability, and brand consistency.
Collaborate with the UX lead, Product, Engineering, and CX teams to craft intuitive, visually engaging customer experiences.
Support component documentation & library management to keep design scalable.
You'll bring
4+ years' UI design experience in agile or complex digital environments
Advanced Figma skills (components, variants, tokens, prototyping)
Experience with design systems and brand execution at scale
Strong visual design craft modern, clean, and detail-focused with a creative edge
Understanding of responsive, accessibility & cross-platform design best practices
Attributes: detail-oriented, adaptable, collaborative, and usability-driven, with a flair for creative, customer-centric UI
