Job description

Kirsham's Distribution Solutions Ltd is a reputed fast-moving consumer goods transport / Distribution company based in South Auckland.

We are currently seeking FIVE Truck Drivers (Drivers of Class 4 & 5) to join our hardworking team.

We are a trusted distributor of renowned Consumer goods brands in New Zealand.

Region: Required to travel across the North Island but mainly based in Auckland.

The pay rate is from $29 per hour to $34 Per hour & can be negotiated for the right candidate.

Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30 & Maximum 70 hours per week

Job Duties of Class 4 & 5 Truck Drivers are as follows:

  • Deliver a wide variety of Goods, including chilled, frozen & ambient, to different addresses across the North Island
  • Able to travel to Different routes as allocated
  • Follow routes and time schedule
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery heavy vehicle
  • Ask for feedback on services provided and resolve issues
  • Complete logbooks and reports
  • Follow Health and Safety regulations and safety standards designed by Krisham’s Distribution Solutions Ltd
  • Handing Job Sheets in a timely manner
  • Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading
  • Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles
  • Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely
  • Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight
  • Ensuring goods are stowed at the correct temperature as per the loading manifest to prevent loss and damage
  • Verifying the loading Manifest upon delivery and receipt of the goods
  • Checking the condition of goods and obtaining certification of deliveries
  • Daily Reporting to the management and dispatch regarding any delivery issues
  • In all conditions, the Truck must be tidy and meet the hygiene standard for the next person to operate
  • Keeping & maintaining records of goods’ temperature before picking them up from the depot & after delivering them at the given site, especially with chilled & frozen goods
  • Advise management of all accidents, incidents, damage, near misses, and potential hazards
  • Attending any required training modules, site inductions, and/or meetings
  • Follow all traffic laws & regulations in accordance with NZ Transport Agency & NZ Police
  • Serve the company well and faithfully and use your best endeavor to promote its interest and welfare, act in the best interest of the company
  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner

What we expect from you:

  • Must have a Valid NZ or International Licence Equivalent to Class 4 or 5 of the NZ Truck Driving License
  • Must Pass Drug Test
  • Minimum 1 Year of Relevant Work Experience is required to work for the role.

  • Must work on the Weekends & Public Holidays
  • Early 2 am Morning Starts
  • Late Nights and Overnight Stays
  • Floating Shifts
  • Able to lift weights up to 25 KG
  • Must physically fit with no serious medical conditions
