The role monitors and responds to planned and unplanned events on and around the transport network, as well as providing accurate, relevant and timely traveller information to road users.Real-time monitoring of the transport network, using CCTV cameras and other sourcesIncident management, such as coordinating the response to crashes, breakdowns, storms and other unplanned events.Optimising traffic signals in real-time to help improve safety and efficiency.Providing travel information to help ensure customers are informed before and during their journeys.Helping manage the impact of planned activity such as roadworks and public events, by working with relevant parties.Responding to planned and unplanned events and optimising customer journeysPlease note this role works on a 24 hour shift rotation including weekends, you will work two 12 hour days, followed by two 12 hour nights, then 4 days off.
