Overview
Trainee Electricity Distribution Line Mechanic - Dunedin
Delta is recruiting for a Trainee Electricity Distribution Line Mechanic to join our teams across the greater Dunedin metropolitan area.
The role is based in Dunedin with a January **** start.
Responsibilities
Install, repair and maintain overhead power lines as part of a trainee program over 3-4 years.
Participate in on-the-job training and theoretical block courses.
Work toward registration with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB).
You
Enjoy working in the outdoors, are physically fit.
Have a minimum of NCEA Level 2 or equivalent, ideally with Mathematics and Physics.
Are highly motivated, keen to learn, and able to set and achieve goals.
Communicate well verbally and in writing.
Pay attention to detail and have problem-solving abilities.
Ideally hold a full, clean Class 1 driver's license.
Ideally have completed a pre-trade course or have experience in civil or building construction.
