Traffic Controller – Christchurch
Are you reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to get stuck into hands-on work?

We’re looking for a motivated Traffic Controller to join a hardworking crew operating across multiple sites in Christchurch.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a team that keeps worksites moving safely and efficiently — no two days are the same, and you’ll play a vital role in protecting workers, road users, and the public.

Location: Central Christchurch
Start: As soon as you're ready
Pay rate: $24-$26 per hour

What you’ll be doing:

  • Setting up and removing temporary traffic management equipment
  • Directing traffic and pedestrians safely through active work zones
  • Communicating clearly with site crews and the public
  • Monitoring site safety and reporting any issues
  • Following Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and all site instructions
  • To be successful, you’ll need:
  • A full NZ driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle
  • Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
  • Good level of physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather
  • Solid communication skills and a strong team ethic
  • A commitment to health and safety
