Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive and strategic Timetabling Manager to shape and enhance the University’s timetabling function.
Working closely with the Student Systems Manager, you’ll ensure our timetabling services not only meet operational needs but also align with academic priorities and deliver an exceptional experience for students and staff.
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the production and maintenance of the University’s teaching timetable and ad hoc booking process, providing direction and support to the timetabling systems team.
You’ll balance day‑to‑day operational oversight with strategic planning—driving continuous improvement, optimising teaching space utilisation, and implementing best‑practice use of timetabling systems.
As a collaborative leader and problem‑solver, you’ll engage with stakeholders across academic and professional services to deliver solutions that support teaching, learning, and research excellence.

Salary will be in the range of $99,865 ‑ $110,392 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position.
This is a full‑time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

The DVCA portfolio includes Student Administration, Student Services & Pastoral Care including Student Health and Accommodation, Library, Academic Office, AVC Pacific Office, Centre for Tertiary Teaching and Learning (Te Puna Ako), Accessibility Services, Work Integrated Learning, Careers and Employability, and Student Systems.

The Student Systems team supports and develops a range of systems including (but not limited to) the Student Management system (SMS), the Enterprise Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), Alumni management (Raisers Edge) and the Timetabling function and system (Syllabus +).
