Job description

The Salvation Army Bridge - Tauranga exists to provide safe, integrated, high quality support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use.

Our services are evidence based, best practice and are known for being people-centred, caring, transformative, culturally safe and responsive.

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualifiedHealth Professional or Addictions Counsellor for ourCommunity Service in Tauranga.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of case work that provides integrated care for those experiencing problems of addiction and and the health and social challenges that can go with this.

  • One on One Support
  • Group facilitation
  • Working within the framework of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Model of Treatment.

  • Implementation of the Salvation Army Bridge Programme Policies, Procedures and The Mission.

Person Specification

  • Degree ina Health Profession(s) or Addiction Counselling
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • DAPAANZ Registration (may not apply if has a current HPC (Health Practitioner Certification) Practising Certificate)
  • Commitment to continuing professional development relevant to addiction studies.

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, sharing information, ideas and effective practices while maintaining client and service privacy, and confidentiality
  • Great sense of Humour.

Hours of Work

This is a permanentpart time role of56 hours perfortnight .

The Starting Salary

for this role will fall between$68,000 and $102,000 per annum, pro rata .This role is covered by the pay equity agreement, and the final remuneration will be dependent on the years experience of the preferred candidate.
