Our two brands, Shark, and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the very strong innovation pipeline on both brands.
Given this success in our existing markets, Shark Ninja has embarked on a bold plan for growing APAC business, in which New Zealand plays a critical role.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Territory Manager to join our team.
This role will be based in Auckland and cover the northern and central region.
Position Overview
The Territory Manager key objective is to increase sales of SharkNinja products within a specific geographical territory.
This dynamic and agile individual will plan and execute a territory strategy focused on achieving sales targets, expanding distribution, and enhancing product shelf presence.
Responsibilities include store level account management, ensuring the best possible presentation of our products in store, delivering product training to retail staff, and building strong relationships with retail partners, all while aligning SharkNinja's business plans with retailer strategies and providing feedback to the head office.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
- Plan and manage your geographical territory to maximize sales output.
- Build and manage professional relationships with store management and staff, following up promptly to store queries.
- Deliver a strong instore presence by ensuring all products meet distribution, shelf position and space standards.
- Utilize product training materials to educate and train in-store staff about our categories, products and brands.
- Increase SharkNinja's distribution footprint by introducing new product ranges & SKU's to existing and new retailers.
- Plan, distribute, execute and maintain promotional activities, POS displays and merchandising in stores.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to engage professionally and build strong sales relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in negotiation and driving profitable growth.
- Energetic and Fearless Attitude: A proactive, self-motivated approach that thrives in a dynamic and evolving retail environment.
- Meticulous Attention to Detail: Ensuring high-impact training, merchandising, and placement are executed flawlessly.
- Data-Driven Planning: Utilizing previous call cycles and the latest sales and product data to inform decisions.
- Digital Proficiency: Strong literacy in digital business systems and communication tools, with a preference for MS Office, Apple iPhone/iPad, and Repsly.
- Valid Driver’s License: Required for territory travel.
- Relevant Industry Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within electrical, small appliances, or hardware sectors is highly valued.
