Job description

Lifeguard (Network Support Team Member) | North Shore and West Auckland

We are seeking 4 motivated candidates to join our Network Support Team.

This hybrid role offers the chance to develop leadership skills while working as a lifeguard and customer service representative.

As a Lifeguard (Network Support), your responsibilities include:
• Covering planned leave and training for team members
• Working on a variable schedule across sites in Lifeguarding and Customer Support functions

This permanent part-time position involves 24 hours weekly, with a variable roster across North Shore, Tepid Bath, and West Wave pools and leisure centres, from 5am to 10pm, including at least one weekend day.

Applicants should be strong swimmers, aged appropriately, and dedicated to helping others.

To qualify, you must pass the following test:

  • Swim 200m in under 6 minutes (any stroke)
  • Swim 50m breaststroke
  • Retrieve objects from the deepest part of the pool
  • Tread water for 5 minutes

Necessary certifications include a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate and a First Aid certificate, which will be provided at no cost to suitable candidates.

Training will be held from 14 to 26 August (Weekdays 8:30am - 4pm) at West Wave.

Ideal candidates will have:
• Strong administration and communication skills
• Proven customer service ability
• Excellent communication, maturity, and reliability

A full driver’s license and own vehicle are required due to the variable roster from 5am to 10pm.
