Hourly paid summer contract (20-30 hours per week from 12 January to 20 February 2026; HTA salary band commensurate with experience) at AUT's South Campus (Manukau).
AUT's Office of Pacific Advancement is looking for Teaching Assistants (TA) from across AUT's academic disciplines to implement Uni101 - the academic course component of UniPrep 2026.
Uni101 within the UniPrep programme is designed to support academic preparedness for Māori and Pacific high school leavers transitioning to university.
The ideal candidate will possess a service leadership mindset with effective organisational and communications skills and a strong ability to create a culturally rich and inspiring teaching and learning environment.
They will have strong collaboration skills and be committed to working as a team with all UniPrep staff to support student wellbeing and success.
They will be grounded in an approach to work that is cultural, relational, and people-centred, and embraces manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, and kaitiakitanga.
Teaching Assistants report to the UniPrep 101 Cohort Lead and are a key member of the wider UniPrep team.
