Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 19/01/2026, End Date: 02/04/2026 (Medical leave cover)

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts

We are currently seeking applications for a term 1 fixed term, full-time design & technology teacher to join our incredible secondary team from Jan to April 2026.

ACG Strathallan is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school based in Karaka, Auckland.

We cater for students in Y0–13, delivering the Cambridge curriculums.

We require an experienced design & technology teacher who is able to deliver motivational and differentiated lessons that cater for students' individual needs.

The successful applicant will enjoy working as a part of a supportive team, have experience in teaching technology and be willing to contribute to the corporate life of our school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach secondary year levels, ensuring you create an engaging learning environment.

  • Cater to the varied learning needs and abilities within your classes to maximise student development.

  • Develop excellent working relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

  • Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.

  • Participate in wider school activities.

  • Ensure student's welfare and safety in every moment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • NZ teacher registration with supporting teaching qualifications (BA and/or MBA).

  • Experience in teaching design & technology education curriculum to a high standard.

  • Well-prepared, inspiring confidence in students and parents.

  • Flexible, committed, professional, hardworking, team player.
