Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher
Technology
We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and creative teacher to join our vibrant Technology team at Waitakere College.
The ideal applicant will have experience and skills in teaching workshop hard materials (woodwork and engineering) and demonstrate a good understanding of the current Technology curriculum, relevant Achievement and Unit Standards.
Applications from unqualified teachers will also be considered through the LAT pathway (e.g. someone with a trades background) or as an employment-based trainee teacher possibility.
Otherwise, please state your NZ Teaching Certification Registration Number and Category.
If you are an overseas based teacher you must already hold NZ Teaching Registration or have applied for registration.
The successful candidate will have confidence and capabilities with Technology and be an active participant in our Professional Development Programme, including Relationship Based Learning (RBL).
There is an expectation of involvement in extracurricular activities offered at the college.
