About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi 
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting others to achieve their goals.
You will be reporting to the Team Coach and work with staff who have a common purpose of supporting people experiencing mental distress.
This is a permanent, part-time position, based in New Plymouth.
The hours for this position are as follows;  Week 1: Sunday – Wednesday, 11:30pm – 7:30am
 Week 2: Sunday – Tuesday, 11:30pm – 7:30am 
Responsibilities 
- Focusing on the individuals needs and providing culturally safe practice 
- Relevant administrative tasks, comprehensive notes and effective handover, and supporting and collaborating with your colleagues 
- Support people with independent daily living skills.
 
 You’ll need to be prepared to support our clients to do whatever it takes
- Provide medication support for our people 
You | Mōu 
- NZ full driver’s licence 
- Current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one 
- Applicants should hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent qualification.
 
 Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Pathways.
 
 This needs to be completed within two years of commencement.
 
 Pathways offer significant support for support workers to complete this study.
 
 
- Support Worker experience or similar 
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the primary care sector 
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
