2 fixed term opportunities until 1 December **** in our Brightwater, Nelson residential service.
Roles and Responsibilities
Role 1: Thursday – Saturday *****am to 8pm
Role 2: Sun - Wed *****am to 8pm
We are a predominantly an aged care mental health site, nestled in the vineyards on the outskirts of Brightwater with picturesque countryside views and the Richmond Ranges.
We're a six-bed facility committed to helping our residents lead fulfilling and joyful lives.
Key Responsibilities
Focus on the individuals needs and provide culturally safe practice
Complete relevant administrative tasks, take comprehensive notes, provide effective handovers to the next shift, and support and collaborate with your colleagues
Medication support when required
Supporting people with independent daily living skills – cooking, cleaning, gardening and everyday household tasks
To be healthier and set goals
Occasional personal cares may be required
About You | Mou
You'll work in a recovery focused way and have impeccable attention to detail.
You'll also
Preferably hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent)
Preferably have experience in aged care (but not essential)
Hold a current comprehensive first aid certificate covering units ****, **** and **** or be willing to obtain one within 3 months of employment
Have a cultural awareness, knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
