Your Next Move
Tech That Keeps our people farming.
The Opportunity
If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership, solve interesting challenges, and make a real impact, this is it.
As a Support Engineer at Pāmu, you’ll be the go-to person for Level 2 technical support, managing our device fleet, and working on projects that keep our technology running smoothly for people who are doing something pretty special – farming the land and feeding the country.
This isn’t a role where you’re just following a script.
You’ll be using modern tools to manage our systems, with some autonomy to make decisions, so you need to be confident in your skills and comfortable working on your own when needed.
Because we’re a small team, you’ll also have the chance to branch out, learn new things, and grow your expertise in ways that bigger organisations can’t always offer.
Not your typical support engineer role, it’s also a blend of hands‑on support and systems engineering—you’ll not only troubleshoot and resolve issues, but also manage and configure cloud platforms, deploy applications, and proactively manage system upgrades.
What makes this role unique?
The people you’ll support — our farmers aren’t sitting in an office all day – they’re out in the field, often in remote locations.
That means you’ll need to think creatively and stay calm under pressure.
It’s challenging, but it’s also rewarding because you’ll see the impact of your work every day.
About Us
Pāmu Landcorp Farming Limited is a State‑Owned Enterprise with over 110 farms across New Zealand.
Our purpose is to lead the delivery of innovative and sustainable agriculture solutions for future generations.
About You
You’re experienced, confident, and ready to own this role.
You’ve worked at this level before, so you know what it takes to manage systems, resolve complex issues, and keep things running without someone looking over your shoulder.
You’re comfortable being the go-to person and making decisions when needed.
You’ll Thrive Here If You
- Enjoy variety and solving technical challenges.
- Are confident working independently, while still being a great team player.
- Like having the freedom to take ownership and make things happen.
- Can explain tech in plain language and build great relationships with people from all walks of life.
If you’ve supported Microsoft 365 environments, managed devices, and handled Level 2 support, you’ll hit the ground running.
This is a role for someone who’s proactive, calm under pressure, and ready to take on a position where no two days are the same.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary package, including health and life insurance, enhanced parental leave benefits, and up to 4% KiwiSaver matching.
You’ll also receive an extra day of leave over Christmas, plus ongoing training and development.
