OverviewInfrastructure Administrator role focusing on on-premise virtualization and storage platforms.
This is a hands-on, firefighting position providing operational support, incident resolution, and maintenance of critical infrastructure.
The role is suitable for someone with Level 2 Service Desk or Support Engineer experience looking to step up into an Administrator position.ResponsibilitiesHands-on role ensuring systems remain safe, reliable, and efficient80% BAU operational support, with some project exposureFocused on on-premise infrastructure (not a cloud-heavy environment)Work largely independently — the only other virtualization engineer sits in another teamHit the ground running with minimal hand-holdingQualifications3–4+ years' IT administration/support experience (Level 2 or above)Strong virtualisation experience — VMware / vSphere essentialNetApp operations knowledge (ONTAP, NFS, SMB, iSCSI, FC) is desirable but not requiredSolid grounding in enterprise storage (NAS/SAN) with flexibility if your virtualization is strongFamiliar with the ITIL framework for incident/change managementTroubleshooting pro — comfortable with firefighting under pressureBonus points for: Cisco MDS/Brocade SAN, vSAN, automation/scripting (e.g., Ansible), or cloud concepts (Azure, AWS, GCP)What's in it for youOpportunity to step up from Support into an Administrator roleAdministration of enterprise-grade virtualization and storage systemsA collaborative team culture where you can make a real impactExposure to both BAU and project work in a fast-paced environmentLocation in Auckland CBD with flexible working optionsApplication note: Apply today to be considered for this opportunity.
