We do this by designing, building and managing mobile sites across the country for telecommunications providers (like Spark and 2degrees) to expand their coverage efficiently and sustainably.
Our tower portfolio of 2,500 covers Cape Reinga to Bluff and is the largest in New Zealand.Connexa has an ambitious forward build programme, and this is an exciting opportunity to bring your structural and civil engineering skills to the table to play a part in the design of new passive mobile towers and infrastructure and the performance improvement of existing assets.As a Structural/Civil Engineer you'll be working with and coordinating Deployment Engineers, Project Managers and Acquisition Managers from within the business and with design teams of external service companies to prepare and document structural designs for engineering projects as well as oversee upgrades and new site build work.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, analyse, and evaluate structural systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with standards and regulationsPrepare detailed design calculations, specifications, and drawing packages for projectsConduct site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety on-siteWork collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other engineers throughout all project phasesProvide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and internsAssist with the preparation of reports and presentations for stakeholders and clientsStay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering practicesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringProven experience in structural design and engineering, with a focus on telecommunications or vertical infrastructureStrong understanding of material properties and structural analysis techniquesFamiliarity with relevant New Zealand design codes and standardsExperience with structural calculation software (SpaceGas, MS Tower, Checkpole or similar)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearlyAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsIn return for your efforts you will also be rewarded with a competitive annual salary, Health & Life Insurance & access to a Marram Holiday scheme.Working at Connexa will challenge you, broaden your horizons and give you the opportunity to make your mark on a totally new segment of New Zealand's telecommunications industry.APPLY ONLINE today!
