Spend less time commuting so you can take more time connecting with friends, family and the great outdoors.The RoleAs Strategy & Special Projects Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in advancing RotoruaNZ's strategic goals.
This wide-ranging position involves everything from strategy development and technical writing to managing special projects that directly impact Rotorua's economic landscape.In this role, you will:Contribute to policy development for RotoruaNZ through engagement with local and central government and local stakeholders.Lead, prepare and write submissions on behalf of RotoruaNZ for various areas including economic development, tourism and others.Develop and report against RotoruaNZ's strategic plans.Lead project teams with stakeholders to support projects through business casing, technical writing or insightsWrite funding applications or other proposals as necessary.Deliver special projects that align with RotoruaNZ's strategic goals.Analyse and interpret research and data to generate insights and communicate findings with key internal and external stakeholders.About YouTo succeed in this role, you'll need:A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (economics, business, policy, politics, finance)3+ years' experience working in strategy, policy, project management, economics, or a related field.Demonstrated experience managing projects in complex environments with multiple stakeholdersProven technical writing experience either in a policy or strategy contextStrong research and analytical skills, with an ability to break down complex issues and ability to communicate them clearly to different audiencesDemonstrated experience with developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partnersStrong communication skills both verbal and written, especially around policy and process type documentsAn interest in economic development and the policy context that can lead to regional growthKnowledge of the local or central government landscape and an understanding of strategic development processes.About RotoruaNZOur purpose is to unlock the economic potential of Rotorua and we do this by working with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver initiatives that grows employment, wealth and wellbeing for our people.RotoruaNZ is a values-led organisation committed to developing and promoting Rotorua as a world-class destination of choice to work, study, visit, invest and live in.We're dedicated to building a thriving and vibrant future for Rotorua.
