Solicitor/Senior Solicitor - Property & Commercial

PQE: 2-4 years

Hours: Full-Time Location: Queenstown or Wānaka

We are looking for an experienced junior or intermediate solicitor to join our growing property and commercial team as a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor.

About the role

You will be involved in all aspects of the firm’s property and commercial practice, including working on property subdivisions and projects, complex property transactions, commercial transactions, contract reviews, financing and leasing,

You will also get the opportunity to assist with private client work including trusts, estate planning, wills and EPOAs.

We encourage our solicitors to have regular client contact, and the role offers great opportunities for long-term career development.

What we are looking for in a candidate

  • A New Zealand admitted solicitor with 2-4 years PQE with strong property law knowledge, and an understanding of commercial/corporate law;
  • Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of LINZ subdivision requirements;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the strength or potential to build on existing client relationships and to develop your own referral network;
  • Someone who can work independently to deliver results and who also enjoys working closely with others as part of a supportive team; and
  • Someone with a confident, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to their work and a genuine continued interest in developing their practice.
