The Andersen Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Family Law Solicitor for a leading firm based in Albany, Auckland.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join a highly regarded team.

You’ll work across a wide range of family law matters including divorce, child custody, relationship property, and domestic violence.

The role offers both variety and complexity, with the chance to play a key role in supporting clients through often challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and represent clients on all aspects of family law, including divorce/separation, custody and guardianship disputes, adoption, and property matters.

  • Represent clients in the Family Court, mediation, and other dispute resolution processes.

  • Draft legal documents including affidavits, applications, submissions, and court pleadings.

  • Manage a diverse caseload while maintaining strong communication and client care.

  • Work closely with colleagues and support staff to deliver seamless service.

  • Keep up to date with developments in family law and apply them effectively in practice.

About You

  • Minimum 3+ years’ PQE in Family Law.

  • Solid track record of handling a variety of family law cases.

  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with proven results.

  • A collaborative mindset, with a supportive approach to mentoring junior lawyers.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
