Mō te tūranga | About the roleThe Department of Conservation have recently made some big changes to help our people and operations work better together-so we can achieve the conservation outcomes we're aiming for.
As part of this, we've introduced a new role: Site Support Officer.
Reporting to the Operations Advisor or Regional Planning and Performance Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering essential administrative support to help ensure the efficient and safe functioning of DOC facilities across the region.
The position will be focussed on:
* Supporting the Site Lead to ensure smooth and safe operation of DOC premises, acting as the main site contact for office and facility issues
* Being the go-to person for general office management
* Ensuring DOC pool vehicles at site are fit for purpose and maintained as required (such as services and WOFs etc)
* Support key site health and safety tasks such as safety/fire drills, site inductions, regular checks and ACC safety audits

The salary range for this position is $65,070 - $75,981 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory - this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
