Mō te tūranga | About the roleThe Department of Conservation have recently made some big changes to help our people and operations work better together-so we can achieve the conservation outcomes we're aiming for.

As part of this, we've introduced a new role: Site Support Officer.

Reporting to the Operations Advisor or Regional Planning and Performance Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering essential administrative support to help ensure the efficient and safe functioning of DOC facilities across the region.The position will be focussed on:
* Supporting the Site Lead to ensure smooth and safe operation of DOC premises, acting as the main site contact for office and facility issues
* Being the go-to person for general office management
* Ensuring DOC pool vehicles at site are fit for purpose and maintained as required (such as services and WOFs etc)
* Support key site health and safety tasks such as safety/fire drills, site inductions, regular checks and ACC safety audits
Please note: This role is 0.5FTE.

Days/ Hours to be negotiated between hiring manager and successful candidate.
