As part of this, we've introduced a new role: Site Support Officer.Reporting to the Operations Advisor or Regional Planning and Performance Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering essential administrative support to help ensure the efficient and safe functioning of DOC facilities across the region.Supporting the Site Lead to ensure smooth and safe operation of DOC premises, acting as the main site contact for office and facility issuesBeing the go-to person for general office managementEnsuring DOC pool vehicles at site are fit for purpose and maintained as requiredSupport key site health and safety tasks such as safety/fire drills, site inductions, regular checks and ACC safety auditsNga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experienceIf you have some of the following, we are keen to hear from you:Experience in a broad administration support, facility or fleet management roleA detail-oriented problem solver with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with easeCan build relationships and work collaboratively with a range of peopleTech-savvy and an early adopter of new systems and technologiesYou bring a proactive approach and a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for more efficient ways to get things doneOur ValuesAt The Department of Conservation, everyone's journey is unique.
