A Session Facilitator assists parents/caregivers and whānau on session to ensure sessions run smoothly, parents are supported in their role as kaiako and children's needs are catered for, while role modelling Playcentre philosophy and current practices and fostering whanau-led culture, supporting emerging leadership and supporting parents in gaining the skills and tools to become more confident in running sessions themselves.
Playcentre Aotearoa is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Session Facilitator to join our well-resourced and vibrant Playcentre Community.
You will work alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning and positively support the Playcentre education programme.
You will be a leader who encourages others to thrive; you will model Playcentre philosophy and good practice while supporting whānau to gain confidence to have a go themselves.
As soon as possible
Various Playcentre’s in the West Auckland area.
3-4 hours of morning shifts 4 days each week, during school term time only.
This is a permanent position.
