What you'll be doing:
As a Senior Test Engineer specialising in test automation, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Salesforce and Digital platforms.
Reporting to the Test & Release Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and executing automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing using tools such as Playwright, Applitools, Cypress, and Selenium.
- Driving the adoption and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and best practices, ensuring robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
- Mentoring and upskilling team members in automation techniques, code quality, and test strategy.
- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins) to enable rapid, reliable delivery.
- Developing and maintaining automated tests for Salesforce platforms, with a focus on maximizing coverage and minimizing manual effort.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality releases.
- Identifying, documenting, and managing automation risks to ensure test reliability and effectiveness.
- Providing actionable feedback to enhance product quality and user experience.
A bit about you:
- Intermediate level, with several years experience in a senior Test Automation role, ideally within New Zealand's financial services sector, particularly Insurance background would be an advantage
- Proficient in test automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright (Java-based preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining automated test suites for Salesforce
- Strong background in API automation and integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
- Flexibility to work with our Trans-Tasman partners
- Capable of building strong, lasting relationships with external stakeholders
- Excellent in both written and verbal communication
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and methodical in problem-solving
Nice to have skills:
- Experience in NRF testing
- New Zealand Insurance Industry experience
- AI Testing experience
