Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position 


As the Senior Secondary Tertiary Advisor you will be responsible for the administration and coordination of the Gateway Programme to Te Kura fulltime and Young Adult secondary ākonga under the rules and regulations set by the funding agents Tertiary Education Commission, The Ministry of Education and Te Kura.


To be successful in this role, you'll bring your knowledge and experience of working with Industry Training Organisations/Workforce Development Councils, Polytechnics, Employers and Private Training Establishments together with your thorough understanding of the National Qualifications Framework and the standards offered by different organisations.


You'll be experienced with stakeholder management, be able to develop and maintain relationships with internal staff and our external training providers throughout the country.

With your enthusiasm for working in the Youth Transition area, together with your experience and skills in mentoring, as well as building and maintaining effective relationships with ākonga, their whānau, tertiary providers and employers, you'll support ākonga to work towards achievement of their goals.


The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make sound decisions to ensure tasks are completed within time and to standard.
