Senior Project Manager, Buildings & Infrastructure (Auckland)Project delivery role, working strategically with blue chip clients throughout the Auckland region, and nationallyBroad role with variety, working across client businesses, industries, and projects, working with a local Beca team of 80 project and programme management professionalsShape your career, with development and progression opportunities to suit your aspirations today and into the futureTe whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityPlay a key project delivery and leadership role in Auckland across the buildings and infrastructure project management field, where you will be a trusted advisor and project delivery practitioner.
This is a unique opportunity to join the Beca Project Strategy & Delivery team based in Auckland providing strategic advice and leadership across project management including leading projects from initiation and the design phase, through procurement, consenting, and into construction and handover.In this role, you will be applying your relationship-building abilities, along with your great communication skills, connecting across all parts of Beca and with our broad range of clients.
You will understand project governance structures, risk management, scheduling, and construction contracts.
Ideally you will have actively managed and led diverse teams including designers and contractors.
Specifically, you will:Have working knowledge of NZS:3910 (and/or NZS:3916)Have experience with drafting and using programmes in MS ProjectHave experience acting as Engineer's Representative / Contract AdministratorBe confident chairing meetings with Clients and senior professionals from other disciplinesHave a good knowledge of construction methods for buildings in NZHave good written communication skills and be used to drafting reports for Clients and senior managersBe used to running your own projects with director level guidanceWith a broad range of projects and clients, you will have a strong team at Beca to support you in project delivery.
You will enjoy working closely with teams, to share your knowledge and experience to grow and develop others.

You will have demonstrated experience of 5-10 years in this domain, understanding the local market business and operating environment.
Our client and project needs mean this role will not suit graduates or project managers in the early stages of their career.
In addition, you will be a tertiary qualified professional with proven experience that is well aligned to providing consulting services in the construction project management sector.You will be energetic and passionate with a bias for action, known for working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to make things happen.
You will enjoy building relationships and understand key project requirements, leading people and applying commercial judgement.
You will have demonstrated experience in design management, project planning and delivery, and strategic advice.
