The Role

As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for partnering with the business to support and lead effective procurement practices.

Our procurement activity is all about delivering positive impact and we achieve this by partnering with our stakeholders to support and lead the execution of procurement activities across the business wherever we can.

The Procurement & Supply Chain team manages a number of external spend categories across the New Zealand business and responsibility for these categories are assigned across the team.

In addition to this, you will:

  • Partner with the business to lead and execute tender, go‑to‑market, contract, RFI/EOI/RFT/RFP and supplier selection processes in line with Fulton Hogan’s overarching procurement policies and processes.

  • Establish key performance indicators and implement supplier performance reviews for preferred suppliers in consultation with the business.

  • Understand category‑level priorities, ensure these are reflected in the selection and engagement of suppliers within the regions and business areas.

  • Facilitate and support the smooth rollout of service delivery levels and/or transition when service delivery levels are changed.

  • Execute processes for day‑to‑day contract management.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A full Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS Chartered).

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement in infrastructure, construction working for a main contractor.

  • Relevant experience in a company with a mature purchasing function, including experience in the selection of suppliers – enquiry and negotiation.
