**Job Description**
**The Opportunity**
Are you ready to take the next step in your career and deliver outstanding cost consultancy services to clients in the public and private sector?
If so, this exciting new Senior / Principal Quantity Surveyor role will give you the opportunity to put your career into high gear, challenge yourself, and fully leverage your cost management experience.
As a highly motivated Senior / Principal Quantity Surveyor, you will focus on delivering first principles estimating and risk management services to our key clients.
You will also be involved in the mentoring and career development of junior team members and contribute to succession planning and the overall structure of the team.
Opportunities are available in MEP, vertical and civil infrastructure.
Day to day, tasks will include:
+ Provision of cost estimates for a range of projects
+ Overseeing the preparation of quantities from a range of drawings with varying levels of detail
+ Cost advice at all stages of the design process and during projects
+ Post-contract cost management services, where required
+ Preparation and evaluation of Risk Registers
+ Delivering excellent service to clients in all aspects of a project life cycle
**Qualifications**
**About You**
You will be a natural team player who can demonstrate:
+ Minimum 7 years’ experience as a cost estimator / quantity surveyor / cost manager
+ Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients
+ Experience in the preparation of estimates from first principles
+ Commercial acumen and ability to mentor junior team members
+ Knowledge and experience of Cost Estimating and Quantity Surveying software such as: Cost X, Expert Estimation, @risk, P6
+ Operates with high standards of integrity
+ Excellent written and oral communication
+ Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline
+ Member of RICS or NZIQS would be advantageous
