This work includes water/wastewater treatment plants, water supply and storage, pump stations, gravity and pressure conveyance pipelines, condition inspections, industrial plant upgrades, and 3W site serving for land development.

You will be working with a large, nurturing, and diverse team, that’s ranges from recent graduates to senior principals that are experts in their field.
There are currently approximately 50 staff in the Dunedin water team and 70 staff in the Dunedin office.
**What you need to bring**
Our preferred candidate for this role will have proven technical experience in diverse aspects of Mechanical Engineering for water infrastructure projects.
+ Be a people person, with exceptional communication skills and the technical understanding in your discipline.
+ Proven experience in leading diverse teams and managing resources.
+ You will understand and be able to operate software requirements of AutoCAD and Revit.
+ Experience dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies.
+ A solid background with construction management and construction administration (CMCA) services in accordance with NZ3910.
+ In this exciting position, your own self-management skills will be as important as your technical and project management ones.
You will need to be able to prioritise workloads whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with our clients' and colleague's both locally and across the broader Stantec team.
+ Strong stakeholder management skills
+ Have the ability to work successfully with remote teams to deliver projects to local clients.
+ Key requirements are a BE Mechanical or equivalent, plus a minimum of 10 years professional experience in the consulting or engineering industry.
+ Looking to achieve CPEng or equivalent
