As a Senior Learning and Development Facilitator at Christchurch Women's Prison you will play a crucial role in directly supporting frontline custodial staff and their leaders to develop their capabilities so that they can better respond to the unique needs of women in our care and improve safety on site.
You will deliver high-quality learning using facilitation skills to support onboarding, initial learning pathways for Corrections Officers and existing staff capability uplift.
This may also include leadership training.
You will apply your coaching and mentoring skills to assist Corrections Officers and other staff throughout their career at Ara Poutama.
Skills and experience
Knowledge and experience in facilitation, especially group facilitation, and proven success in coaching and mentoring others.
Experience in delivering and facilitating gender-responsive, culturally responsive, trauma-informed material is preferred.
Advanced communication skills – listening, reflecting and questioning.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and work effectively with a wide range of audiences.
A highly proactive nature with the ability to manage and work autonomously.
Full New Zealand Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to support other sites and the National Learning Centre.
Benefits
The midpoint of the salary range is $98,888 and the full range (85%-120%) is $84,055-$118,666.
Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
