Our clients span geothermal, hydrogen, pulp and paper, water, oil & gas, and other process industries.We want the best people and offer more-than-competitive packages, with benefits usually found only at large corporations, tailored to individual needs and career goals.The RoleAs a growing business, the role will be dynamic and evolve as we achieve our business goals and meet the demands of our valued clients.This role is designed for a senior engineer who can deliver independently from day one and increase capacity in a growing consultancy.You'll be able to lead projects, delegate work to other team members, and bring proven experience in checking and approving project deliverables, ensuring our high standards are maintained across all projects.Your responsibilities will includeApply IEC *****: Facilitate LOPA / SIL selection workshops, and FS lifecycle management.Develop SRS and design SIFs, perform SIL Verification, and proof test procedures.Carry out Functional Safety Assessments and Audits.Deliver fire & gas mapping studies to performance-based standards.Apply AS/NZS **** for machine safety: Hazard ID and risk assessments, safeguarding, guarding and compliance assessments.Lead safety systems engineering (SIS, FGS, PLC/MS) through design, integration, and commissioning.Provide I&C and electrical engineering and design for brownfield and greenfield projects.Manage client relationships, proposals, and lead workshops.Mentor and knowledge share with junior engineers and the wider business.Produce, contribute and review technical reports and articles.We are seeking people with the following expertise and attitudesSafety leadership and strong HSE focus.Team player with a client-focused, solution-oriented approach.Proven functional safety experience with IEC ***** (FS Eng certification preferred).
Experience with fire & gas mapping, FGS and F&G detection technologies, or interest in developing expertise in this area.Machine safety knowledge (AS/NZS **** or equivalent).
I&C or electrical project experience in energy or process industries.Proactive Mindset, a self-starter who takes initiative, moves work forward, and brings solutions to the team.Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience in:Instrumentation & ControlElectrical EngineeringMechatronicsTypically 8–10+ years in I&C or electrical engineering with the ability to deliver at senior level.Why Join Us?
