Senior Firmware Engineer

Job description

We're looking for a senior firmware engineer to help our growth through multiple international markets this year.
As an engineer at Halter, you will demonstrate ownership of firmware through a deep understanding of your firmware requirements, functionality, and design, and see it through all aspects of its life cycle from inception through to mass deployment and maintenance.You'll be working on the platform team, responsible for all aspects of delivering a highly reliable, fault-tolerant and monitorable collar, including ultra-low power design, communication, production support, in-field upgrade and monitoring.What you'll doDesign, implement and deliver new features and performance improvements to our product firmwareDrive improvements to our quality and testing systemsWork closely with other engineering teams to ship high-impact features quickly.Support and mentor other engineers through design conversations, code reviews, and generous context sharing.Proactively monitor the performance of our fleet and drive improvements to our monitoring platformsYou'll be great if youHave designed and delivered complex embedded firmware for resource constrained devices and have the experience (and lessons) to show for it.Love solving hard technical problems and delivering awesome features to customers.Are a strong team player who contributes to the team's performance and excels in giving and receiving feedback.Are comfortable working with low-level hardware and resource-constrained systems.A degree in engineering (software, electronics, mechatronics) is nice to have, but not essential.Why our team loves working at HalterEvery now and again a company comes along that disrupts and transforms an entire industry, leaving society in a better place; few people get the opportunity to work at companies like these.
