Job description

Your role:

To develop, manage and drive strategy and activities that facilitate communication of OMV's key messages to external (predominantly Wellington based) stakeholders by:

  • Providing analysis of all relevant regulatory matters, including from the Gas Industry Company and other authorities, including ongoing development of the Gas Transition Plan, Energy Strategy and information disclosure workstreams as well as other gas and energy market issues.
  • Working with GM and responsible people in the business to enhance OMV”s reputation/influence by structured engagements with senior regulatory stakeholders, relevant business organisations (BEC, ERA), Minister’s office, and reviewing regulatory submissions to facilitate consistent quality and approach.
  • Supporting GM with stakeholder and government relations, including development and implementation of a stakeholder engagement strategy, with a focus on Wellington based stakeholders.

  • Maintaining overview of stakeholder interactions to build coherent picture of relevant stakeholder relationships.

    Developing external communication materials for relevant stakeholder engagements e.g. talking points for GM meetings, fact sheets, executive speeches, events, etc.

  • Strong skills in the areas of leadership, analysis, communication (verbal, written and presentation), and influencing
  • A very good general knowledge of the oil & gas industry (including from a gas market and wider energy market perspective)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and externally
