Join Wattie's as Senior Category Development Analyst in Auckland, supporting the Category Development Manager in developing retailer‑tailored strategies and driving category opportunities in NZ.
Responsibilities
- Provide category insights to fuel opportunities in the assigned cluster.
- Support the development of the category vision by assembling right insights.
- Work with 3rd‑party providers and manage relationships with key data suppliers.
- Optimize product assortment opportunities across category portfolios with internal and external insights.
- Analyze brand pricing using RGM, determining the final average price for brands.
- Prepare for range reviews in key customers across ANZ for the assigned cluster categories.
- Sizing and recommending future NPD opportunities through category and consumer logic.
- Develop the cluster AOP and strategic planning process, ensuring all category opportunities are captured.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of working experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights, Key Account Management, or Sales related function.
- FMCG experience desired.
- Strong commercial acumen, ideally through direct experience in Sales or Category Management.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience in promotion and/or range modelling.
- Knowledge of store layout software such as Apo, JDA.
