Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our MMB Operations team at Marsh.
This role will be based in the Auckland office.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days in the office.
This opportunity is offered as a 6-month, fixed term contract.
As a Senior Business Analyst you will be responsible for analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
This is a hands-on role that will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency by thoroughly mapping and documenting existing processes using standardised departmental templates.
You will work closely with operations teams to gather requirements, perform root cause analysis, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Additionally, this role will support reporting and training efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and improved ways of working.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business operations and IT systems.'
We will count on you to:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business needs and objectives.
Analyse current business processes and identify areas for improvement.
Elicit, document, and manage detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
Work closely with project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
Monitor project progress and assist in resolving any issues related to requirements.
Assist in the development of business cases and cost-benefit analyses.
What you need to have:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
Strong understanding of business processes and systems analysis
Experience with requirements gathering and documentation techniques
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
Proficiency in business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Viso, or similar.
