About the role
We're seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design and deliver high-quality, reusable data models and analytics products that empower decision-makers across the Authority.

You'll bridge the gap between technical data engineering and business-facing analytics, ensuring our data products are accurate, accessible, and aligned with strategic goals.
This is a hands-on role where you will:
* Translate business requirements into robust, scalable data models and products
* Build and maintain analytics-ready datasets using SQL and Python
* Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and IT to ensure data integrity and usability
* Champion best practices in data modelling, documentation, and governance
* Validate KPIs and metrics to ensure they reflect business logic and regulatory needs
* Support self-service analytics through well-designed semantic layers and tooling
You'll work across the full analytics lifecycle - from stakeholder engagement to production deployment - in a lean, agile team that values curiosity, initiative, and impact.

Are you someone with the following?
* Five plus years' experience in analytics engineering or BI development
* Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms (Databricks preferred)
* Familiarity with data modelling principles (e.g. dimensional modelling, Delta Lake)
* Ability to translate business logic into technical solutions
* Experience with CI/CD, version control, and collaborative workflows
* Comfort working in a lean team with broad responsibilities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and validation
