With a strong focus on performance monitoring, data, and insights, we're committed to continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.It's an exciting time to join DSS as we strengthen our systems and expand our capabilities.We're looking for passionate people to help us achieve our goals and make a meaningful impact.About the role | Mo te tunga:We have two exciting opportunities available, a Senior Analyst Payments and Monitoring, and a Senior Analyst.
Both roles are ideal for those passionate about data, impact, and continuous improvement.As the Senior Analyst you'll monitor and analyse service delivery and payment data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contracts and financial controls.Key responsibilities include:Extracting, transforming and analysing financial and service delivery dataDesigning and delivering clear, accessible reporting for varied audiencesMonitoring payment schedules and resolving discrepanciesPreparing data for audits and identifying risks and improvement areasImproving data systems and reporting processes using modern systemsManaging your own work priorities and contribute to wider team projectsBuilding collaborative relationships with stakeholders and data requestersMentoring other analysts and supporting best practice across the teamResponding to ad-hoc data requests including OIAs and Ministerial queriesWe value diversity and welcome applications from disabled people and those who have lived experience with whanau, or the disability community.Please contact us if there is any support that we can provide to ensure the recruitment process is accessible to you.What you bring | Ou pumanawatanga:Experience in presenting insights clearly for non-technical audiencesStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problemsPrevious experience analysing data to inform business decisionsProficient in BI tools such as Power BI or TableauAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, with Power Query and VBA experience desirableExperience with Snowflake and git desirableProven stakeholder engagement skills across diverse business areasExperience with SAS, SQL, R or Python for data manipulation and analysisExcellent time management, attention to detail, and sound judgementCollaborative team player with mentoring experiencePosition Description | He Whakaahuatanga Tunga:A copy of the position description can be found here.Senior Analyst Payments and Monitoring position descriptionSenior Data Analyst position descriptionSalary | Utu-a-tau: $103,815 - $125,958 Applications close | Ka kati nga tono hei te: Wednesday 22 October ****.
