We fulfil the cyber security responsibilities of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) | Te Tira Tiaki, to detect and disrupt high-impact cyber threats nationally.**The roles**We are looking for exceptional Senior Analysts to join our forward-thinking team at the Frontline of National Cyber Defence.
You'll play a pivotal role in the design, configuration, development and maintenance of specialist and high-impact software systems that support the critical functions of the NCSC.This is your opportunity to bring your analytical expertise and enthusiasm to a collaborative and inclusive team that celebrates initiative, energy and continuous learning.

You'll also be able to build and maintain strong relationships.In addition to this, we'd like to see the following in your application:* Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or proven equivalent experience.* Expert knowledge and experience of Linux administration.* Advance knowledge of Network Infrastructure including contributing to the design, implementation and management of Enterprise Network.* An advance understanding of security controls and how to mitigate threats.* Advance knowledge of containerization, virtualisation and cloud platforms.* Technical leadership in medium to large network projects.Expected appointment range: $120,358 - $128,383**Before you apply**Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.You must:* Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 yearsORHold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years* Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance + Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.The NZIC treats all applications for employment in the strictest confidence and we expect that you maintain a similar level of confidentiality during the recruitment process and throughout your career.We'll provide you with information and tips throughout the recruitment process, but in the meantime check out our Myth Busting booklet: .Closing date 23 October 2025| Location: | Wellington |
